Everyone needs safe drinking water, especially kids. Clean Water Here have launched a World Water Day campaign to promote the need for safe drinking water in the United States. Some research indicates that out-of-date plumbing, sometimes over 100 years old, is often leaching contaminants into drinking water. In addition, old-fashioned water treatment facilities may not always address 21st-century contaminants like pesticides, industrial chemicals and arsenic.

As part of the initiative, dignitaries, celebrities and the public are encouraged to lend their own social media voices to create the largest US clean drinking water social media campaign in history. Celebrities include Ziggy Marley, Sting, Christine Aquilere, Fergie, Pitbull, Nick Jonas, Fifth Harmony, Pink, Niall Horan, Camila Cabello, Andra Day, Shania Twain, Maroon 5, Jason Derulo, Bruno Mars, Cristina Aguilera, Halsey, Juanes, Maná, Sarah Bareilles, J. Balvin, Pentatonix, Natasha Bedingfield, Laura Pausini, Ryan Seacrest, Pharrell Williams, Seal, Kesha, Curt Smith of Tears for Fears, Skip Marley and Troye Sivan.
