Make a Splash! (Pool of the Hart House / UFT) - March 15th 2008

Rotaract Clubs of the GTA
Toronto, Canada, 15 Mar 08

Make a Splash at the Hart House of the UFT!

As part of World Rotaract Week and to celebrate 40 years of Rotaract and following the theme 2008 of Sanitation for Water issues, we have teamed up to organize the 'Make A Splash' event to raise funds for the African Medical & Research Foundation (AMREF) and their Safe Water and Basic Sanitation Program.

On March 15th, we will have a short information session with drinks and snacks before heading to the pool to swim! Our goal is to swim approximately 1,200 laps which roughly corresponds to the distance some women in Africa must walk each week to gather water for their families. Don't want to get wet? No problem!! We would still love you have you come and support our swimmers. Feel like getting in the pool but you don't want to swim laps the whole time? That's OK too, we will have challenges and games for non-lap swimmers so that as many swimmers as possible can join in the effort!!

All participants, swimmers and non-swimmers, MUST register before the event. The participation fee is $10 which can be paid on the day of the event. We also encourage swimmers to find sponsorship if they can. To register, please email makeasplash15march@gmail.com.

!!!!!NEWS!!!!!
NOW WHEN YOU PAY THE $10 PARTICIPATION FEE YOU ALSO RECEIVE A DOOR PRIZE TICKET WITH THE CHANCE TO WIN 2 COURT SIDE RAPTORS TICKETS!
