Education for the Danube

On the 22nd of March 2008, we will organize the event called "Education for the Danube in libraries" where librarians from all over Teleorman County, Romania will receive several copies of the handbook "Education for the Danube" to use in the institutions they represent. The even will be held at the "Marin Preda" County Library in Alexandria and it is organized so that students will have water related information closer to them.

The handbook "Education for the Danube" was developed by 10 Romanian youngsters (the youth structure of the Euro Teleorman Association) toghether with the youth council of the Dutch Overijssel Province. They came up with the idea for developing such a book by recognizing the need for water protection awarness raising for young people that live in the Danube basin.
Our highest hope is that our handbook will reach all the youngsters in the Danube Basin in Europe!
