Supporting the Naga Queen in Cambodia and LNMC celebrations in the Lao PDR

In celebration of World Water Day 2008, the Mekong River Commission Secretariat sponsored activities in Cambodia and the Lao PDR, following approaches made by organisations in those countries.

The Rubbish Project in Cambodia constructed the 'Naga Queen' installation on the river in Siem Reap. This impressive feat can be seen on the website http://www.therubbishproject.blogspot.com/

The Lao National Mekong Committee organised a high-level political meeting, exhibition, football match and mini-marathon in Vientiane.
