Apart from the fact that 80% of drinking water in Hong Kong is imported from China, as many people around the world are suffering form the problem of water shortage and pollution, we do concern about the consevartion and the quality of our water resouces in China and in the world as a whole.
We are organising activities in 20th and 21st of March in order to raise public understanding and concern of the adverse impact of the excessive consumption of paper on the well-being of our water resources.
One of our target is to urge the government to propose new law for giving voter a choice to receive election materials with E-mail that can save hundreds of tons of paper each election.
And we will persuade people to purchase 100% poseconsumer fibre and PCF paper when the use of paper is necessary via media coverage and community education.
