Managing shared water for better health
Sudesh Samuel, comment on Discussion on transboundary water themeIt is my hope that new technology and sustained efforts will improve the removal of chemicals and pharmaceuticals from shared lake and river basins in the developed world while shared efforts also begin to eradicate river blindness, cholera and other infectious conditions arising from transboundary water regions in the developing world. My best wishes to the various ongoing initiatives to commemorate World Water Day 2009.
