Wellingtons World Water Day celebrations

WCC and GWRC are marking World Water Day. Water related organisations will be displaying information and materials about drinking water freshwater quality and ecology, water safety, and water treatment etc on Taranaki Street wharf from 10-4pm.

There will also be a speakers corner set up for those who want to talk for 5 minutes on any area of water - be it drinking water, aquatic quality and ecology, water safety etc. Speakers’ corner will run from 1330- 1430 pm. It will also be open to the public on the day. Let Nicci Wood at WCC know if you'd like a time reserving to speak from the corner.

There are no wet weather provisions. In event of bad weather a call will be made on the day whether to go ahead.
