WWD 2009: 127 events submitted

At the end of March 2009, 127 World Water Day 2009 events had been posted from 27 countries on this site, see http://www.worldwaterday.org/page/2097. With 21 events India was the highest scoring developing country.

One quarter of the events were submitted by people from the developing world. As always, USA and Canada scored highest

The majority of these events registered focus on more attractive topics for local organizations, such as walking, music, poetry, painting, fund raising and other awareness actions.
