World Water Day by SAFE
Safety Assistance For Emergencies
Dhaka, Bangladesh, 22 Mar 09
SAFE is promoting safety, health and hygiene issues in formal and informal schools since 2006 though various successful events and partnership (e.g. SAFE-Dettol Hand-Wash Campaign). Recently, SAFE has also gained enormous knowledge and experience through Global Hand Wash Campaign while working with various partners like UNICEF, WHO, NGO Forum, Water Aid, BRAC etc.
Based on previous success and expertise, in 2009, SAFE endeavors to launch SAFE SCHOOL CAMPAIGN (SSC) - a year round campaign especially designed for non-formal and formal school children with an aim to increase safety, health and hygiene related awareness among the target group by introducing low-cost services as well as effective awareness and training programs.
SSC kicks off in March, 2009 on the occasion of World Water Day. SAFE has designed a week long campaign starting from March 20, 2009 with selected formal and non-formal schools to celebrate this particular day with all due importance.
We believe that greater outreach and sustainability can be achieved within a very short time through various collaborations with partners. We see opportunities for partners to collaborate on various grounds to promote safe water agenda to diverse vulnerable groups.
