L T Wangchuk, (Save Brahmaputra Movement), comment on Discussion on transboundary water theme1. Brahmaputra river, one of the most incredible gift of nature for all life forms must be saved from being exhausted by adverse human action.
2. We are strongly against China's unilateral plan to build dam and divert water from it, depriving nature’s lifeline for Bangladesh & India.
3. International community must pressure China to stop this unilateral plan, which has catastrophic impact on lower riparian agricultural countries.
4. Stop colonial exploitation and disturbance of Tibet ecosystem (source of fresh water to 85% of Asian population, approx 50% of world’s population).
