Bring clean water to rural communities in Cameroon

This year 2010, Nido di speranza will join the world in celebarting world water day with theme of water quality, reflecting its importance alongside quantity of the resource in water management. "When water comes…everything changes." this is what rural women and Lysoka and Tole villages told us when we were caring out our study survez. This is because they go miles on foot to carry water on their heads and ths to them is very tedious added to theie other domestic chores.
So we will like to use this day and advocacy workshop to make known the importance of clean water and sanitation in rural Cameroon and especially to chidren. The World Water Day 2010 campaign is envisaged to raise awareness about sustaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being through addressing the increasing water quality challenges in water management and to raise the profile of water quality by encouraging our government, organizations, communities, and individuals to actively engage in proactively addressing water quality e.g. in pollution prevention, clean up and restoration.
