Rivers in spring

Description: On March 17, 2010, more than 3000 students, teachers and citizens have taken part in the great event in Mantova, Northern Italy, to celebrate, in advance, the WWD 2010: people gathered on Mantova Lakes and Mincio River, to carry on scientific, naturalistic and artistic activities, or make foot, bike, boat excursions or action to defend the environment. The aware consumption of the natural resources, the Water Contract and the relation between water and energy were some topics of the event. In this context special importance was given to hydrogen, used as an energy carrier at zero impact: demonstrations with Panda Hydrogen fuel cell powered will be made in the ambit of Zero Regio, a project co-financed by European Commission. Information materials about good practices will be given to participants in order to save water and energy.
