Observance of World water day in Gujarat

PRAVAH
Ahmedabad, India, 22 Mar 05

PRAVAH is observing WWD 2005 along with its 100 members in the state of Gujarat. It celebrates WWD with the women who have suceeded against all odds for securing safe drinking water for their community.

PRAVAH had done
a) A series of Streetplays with children from slums about safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene covering a population of 10000.
b) workshop with likeminded organisations and its members about future coutse of action fot water crisis in the dtate of Gujarat.
c) falicitated the leaders of the community who took active papticipation to established drinking water supply systems in their villages.
d) Media coverage of the issues by inviting them in their programme areas and by publishing articles in this regard.
e) Doing a series of programmes like awareness campaign by cycle rally, Padayatras etc
