One million man march was an event organised by the NGO, Safe Water African Community Initiative SWACI to commemorate the World water day tagged SAFE WATER FOR ALL AFRICANS CAMAPIGN.
The event is to create awareness on the need of safe water in all sectors for all Africans. The programme took place in Abuja, the federal capital of Nigeria and is directed to all stakeholders in water both in the government and international organisation to use their power in making every home in African meet the water related MDG Goals.
Approximately 1000 people walked the city of Abuja from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The people cut across different works of life: students, partner NGOs, traders and government workers.
