York Children's Water Festival
The Regional Municipality of York: Transportation and Works
Regional Municipality of York, Canada, 15 May 06
York Region, in partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, is currently organizing the 8th annual York Children’s Water Festival. It will be held from May 15th to May 19th, 2006 at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area in Stouffville. The York Children’s Water Festival is a community driven environmental education initiative that teaches more than 5,000 grades 4 and 5 students from across York Region about water conservation, water protection and related environmental issues through the use of interactive activities and displays. Last year’s festival was an outstanding success that brought together community, education, government and industry representatives to help teach our future generation to appreciate the value of clean water and a healthy environment.
