On Wednesday, March 22, Summit K-8 School in Seattle will be holding a Water Rally to raise awareness of the global water crisis, as well as funds for Water 1st. High school senior, Aaron Nilson, is coordinating this event as part of his senior project.

Middle and high school students and faculty will gather for a water assembly to learn about the world water crisis and what Water 1st is doing to address it. A Water 1st video will be shown, followed by a question and answer session. Students and faculty will then meet on the soccer field and attempt to carry five 40-pound buckets around the field, experiencing what it’s like for millions of women and children around the world to collect and carry water each day. Throughout the day, donations will be collected to help support a Water 1st community in need of safe water.

Event time: 1:00–2:30 p.m.
Location: Summit K- 8 , 11051 34th Ave. NE, Seattle
