The event is an initiative of the Digos Water District (DWD), the KAANAK - Digos and the Cor Jesu College - Junior Ecologist Movement with the DWD as the lead agency.
As in its title, the youth of Digos City are the target participants of the event although participants from adjacent areas are also welcome(but with early confirmation). The youth will be educated on the basics of water, its importance, and the concerns and issues around it. Workshops will be initiated to supplement the learnings during the plenary. Some of the hands-on experience designed are: Stream Habitat Walk, Riparian Habitat Inventory, Groundwater Modelling, Stream Physical Survey, Water Quality Monitoring and Water Quiz Bee.
