Walk for Water in Hartford

In many communities around the world, women and children must walk up to 6 miles a day to retrieve clean water for their families. The Walk for Water on World Water Day 2006 is a symbolic act of solidarity and an effort to educate the public about the World Water Crisis. We hope you’ll join us. Event details are below.

HARTFORD

Location: Starbucks Coffee Company downtown Hartford at City Place 185 Asylum St., Hartford, CT 06103

Where to meet: Starbucks Coffee in City Place at 11:30 a.m.

Walk Route: Take a lovely walk over your lunch hour around Bushnell Park and through Downtown Hartford. We will walk past the Goodwin Hotel, down to Pearl St., through the Memorial Arch, passing Bushnell Park, walking East on Capitol Avenue, North on Main St., turning left at Center Church and returning to City Place.

Walk Time: 11:30 am meet and greet with a 12:00 – 12:30pm walk time

Walk distance: Approx. 2 miles
