Walk for Water in Washington DC

In many communities around the world, women and children must walk up to 6 miles a day to retrieve clean water for their families. The Walk for Water on World Water Day 2006 is a symbolic act of solidarity and an effort to educate the public about the World Water Crisis. We hope you’ll join us. Event details are below.

Walk Route: Circle through the Mall to monument and back

Walk time: 12pm

Walk distance: 3 Miles
