RIVERS IN SPRING 2

On the 22nd March 2003, about 3000 children, students and citizen will take part in RIVERS IN SPRING 2 held in Viadana, one of the three events in Mantova Province, Northern Italy: people will gather on the shores of the River Po, the main river in Italy, to carry on scientific, naturalistic and artistic activities, or make foot, bike, boat excursions or action to defend the environment. For this event special energies has been devoted to make experimental researches in children and students families about their weekly water consumption: original data about Viadana families water consumption will be presented in attractive ways and discussed between the data producers and visitors. Suggestions for good practices of water saving will be given to participants.

The event has been held according to the methodologies of Local Agenda 21
within the project "Un PO di cultura", which is linked to other international projects: GLOBE, GREEN Europe, Elbe River project.
