Turning The Tap
William Parker School
Daventry, United Kingdom, 22 Mar 07
Turning The tap is an exciting curriculum day for Year 4 and Year 9 students. It has been organised jointly by William Parker School, Daventry and District Friends of Iganga, Practical Action and 5 primary schools. These are Ashby Fields, Barby, Falconers Hill, Kilsby and Welton.
Year 9 students have been trained as facilitators to work with the 170 Year 4 students. During the day they will find out more about accessing clean water in Iganga, our town's partner town in Uganda. They will investigate the different technologies used to improve access to water. Finally they will be using this information to take part in a decision making activity, which will be presented to visiting experts.
