Apa Nova, a Veolia company says “Good Luck!” to the citizens of Bucharest on the World Water Day

Apa Nova, a Veolia Company
Bucharest, the capital of Romania, Romania, 22 Mar 07

On the occasion of World Water Day, the water supplier for Bucharest wants to send a positive message to the citizens. This is a moment to say “Good Luck!” to the people in the street, just because the Romanian tradition says that meeting someone with a bucket full of water means luck.

200 people are going to cross along the center of Bucharest carrying full of water buckets. This is the way Apa Nova wants to say “Good Luck” to the citizens on this special day. Students, children and Apa Nova representatives (management and employees) will carry the buckets and spread the environmental messages to all the people they meet in the street. Everybody has to be responsible for taking care of water resources. In this respect, Apa Nova gives us a strong example at the end of the route, by watering plants in a park.
Andreas Baude, GM for APA NOVA says: “Our intention is to send a specific Romanian message regarding water and its traditional significance. We would like to belive that we bring luck to the citizens today. We also stress on the water importance and our essential role in order not to waste water. Come and join us and you will have a whole lucy day!”
