water day celebration

Agricultural College” Nicolae Cornateanu” from Tulcea- Romania has organized World Water Day since 1997. As every year, Primary, Secondary and Vocational schools from Tulcea town were invited to celebrate this important event. We had many interesting activities:
- video presentation from the UNESCO Water Portal
- water traditions and customs in local communities(Paparuda and Caloianul)
- fashion parade (costumes and suits made by recycled materials)
- poems about water
- posters presentation
- drawings exhibition
- questionnaire about water consumption
- Power Point presentation about water scarcity
- workshop (stories about water)

Our special guests were: Mr. Lucian Simion – general manager of Public Services Department from Local Council, Ms. Maria Zaharia – representative of Tulcea Town Hall, Ms. Claudia Iosifescu – coordinator of Information and Education Center for Waste Management, Mr. Bira Gheorghe – Water Management System and Gabriela Anitei – Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority representative.
All the activities were coordinated and directed by our students from 11th grade.
