CAWST is hosting our annual World Water Day celebration in Calgary – and everyone is invited!
World Water Day is celebrated around the world on March 22nd, to highlight the importance of water, one of our planet’s most precious resources. Millions of people lack access to safe, clean water and basic sanitation. CAWST, a Calgary-born innovation, is working to change that.
This year, for the first time, CAWST is Painting the Town Blue: watch local landmarks light up blue in honour of World Water Day!
Show your support in solving global water issues on World Water Day – anyone can participate, from anywhere in the world! On March 22, change your social media profile picture, wear blue and share your photos with the hashtag #PaintItBlue and #WorldWaterDay.
Calgarians are invited to join us at Telus Spark from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Dive into amazing action projects local youth are undertaking to tackle water issues in our communities, and learn about global water issues, and how CAWST empowers through education and training to help those in need get safe drinking water and sanitation around the world. RSVP.
CAWST’s World Water Day Celebration will highlight inspiring Calgarians who work to make a positive change in our communities. CAWST’s Wavemakers program provides youth with the awareness and tools they need to take action on global and local water and sanitation issues. The Wavemakers program provides resources, such as lesson plans, games and action project tools. Our Wavemakers program allows youth to explore different ways to take action and to showcase their project live at CAWST’s World Water Day Celebration.
