We invite you to the celebration of the World Water Day, taking place on 16th March, 2017 at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy Management at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences. This year, the mean topic of the event is ‘Water and wastewater’.
In the framework of the World Water Day celebration we organize lectures, visiting of our laboratories, as well scientific demonstrations addressed to high school students. We will present you a series of interesting experiments, which will be discussed and explained in an accessible way. One of the most interesting experiments will be the controlling of the water flow through the Wroclaw city using the model of Wroclaw Floodway System. Furthermore, the students will have the opportunity to see how to use the hydraulic models and take part in a class of hydrodynamic modeling using professional software. The students will also have the chance to carry out the experiments by them self in many of our laboratories. We invited also some representatives of the water business, so there will be an occasion to speak with the professionals.
We hope that the experiments and discussions we will draw the student’s attention to the problems of the water resources management and protection of water quality. Additionally students can take part in many competitions and tasks. For most involved students we prepared attractive prizes.

With best regards,
The Organizing Committee
