International Internet conference for students
“Agenda 21 NOW!” -2001 invites teachers and students all over the world to participate in the second edition of an extensive international Internet conference called “Agenda 21 NOW!".
Agenda 21 NOW! takes place on World Water Day, which is Thursday, 22nd March, 2001, from 00:00 to 24:00 hours World Time (U.T.C.).
Agenda 21 NOW! has been designed for students and groups of students (e.g. courses at school) aged 14+ from all over the world.
What is the theme of “Agenda 21 NOW!” ?
It is time to implement Agenda 21. Not in 2010, not next year, but NOW! Let us talk about this in a worldwide Internet conference! Let us talk about our future! What will be there for the coming generations? Have you ever heard of sustainability? Sustainability??? What does that mean to you, to me, to us? Nothing? No problem? Big problem? Can we do things sustainably? No? Yes? If yes, why not? Login and talk about this to other students from all over the world.
When?
On March 22nd, 2001, from 00:00 to 24:00 h World Time. If you live far away from the Greenwich meridian, you can check what this is in your local time on our homepage.
What do you need for participation in “Agenda 21 NOW!” ?
You need a computer with access to the Internet. At school, at home, wherever you are. And some time on March 22nd. Last but not least two minutes for registration in advance on our homepage. And that's it! Enjoy “Agenda 21 NOW!”
