World Water Day 2001: Water for Health

The Royal Government of Bhutan will be celebrating the World Water Day on 22 March 2001 at Royal Institute of Health Sciences Hall. The day is planned to be celebrated with following events proposed by our PHES counterpart:

  1. High Officials will be invited to address the theme of the day as the chief guest.
  2. Guest from other related sector will also be invited for delivering speeches on water.
  3. Hoisting of banners with revelant messages.
  4. Art competition focussing on children.
  5. Airing video cassette "The Flow of life" and video spots on BBS Television.
  6. Supplementary Kuensel issue in which messages from country representatives and articles on water will be printed.

Besides that all 20 districts in the country will also be celebrating the day with the theme "Water for Health"
