WWD 2001 Event
Malaysia, National celebrations
The Malaysians will be celebrating the WORLD WATER DAY nation-wide on 22nd March 2001. NESH Marketing Sdn. Bhd., the major water purification system supplier in Malaysia is proudly to organise this chief event.
Exhibition and talks on water and health will be held in the major shopping complexes throughout the country. The objectives are to:
- increase awareness about the importance of conservation, preservation, and protection of water resources and drinking water.
- increase the public's consciousness on water and health.
The Malaysian Liver Foundation and members from the mass media are also invited to participate in some activities.
Other activities are :
- Composition competition on “Life and Water” among the secondary school students.
- Create Water and Health poster competition for the family.
- Quiz on Water and Health.
- Free Medical Check up for the eldery people. A very special rate on Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccination will be offered to the public by the Malaysian Liver Foundation.
- Stickers with World Water Day logo and bottle drinking water will be giving away to the public.
- Brochures and posters about World Water Day will be distributed all around Malaysia.
