The Indian Water Works Association, Pune Centre is celebrating World Water Day on 22nd March, 2001 in Pune in collaboration with the Institute of Engineers, Pune, Maharashtra, Jeevan Pradhikaran, Pune Region and the Groundwater Survey and Development Agency, Pune.
Dr. Erich Bharucha, Director, Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Environment Education & Research, Pune will deliver the theme address Water and Health and the function will be presided over by Mr D.K.Bhasale, President, Indian Water Works Association, Mumbai.
On this occassion, the books Water Resources investigation, Planning & Management for Sustainable Development in Maharashtra written by Mr M.M.Sarbhukan, former Director, GSDA, Pune and Waterfield Technology for 21st Century written by Mr B.G.Dhokarikar, former Director, GSDA, Pune respectively will be released.
