Hungary - Joint Celebration GWP and Ministry of Transport and Water Management

The Hungarian Ministry of Transport and Water Management and the Global Water Partnership - Central and Eastern Europe committee are organising a joint celebration of World Water Day. It is linked to the GWP's stakeholder meeting on 22-23 March 2001 Budapest, Hungary.

The meeting is a stocktaking event a year after The Hague with the intention to assess the region's development status vis a vis the Water Vision and Framework for Action presented at the Second World Water Forum.

The programme also includes the joint celebration of WWD with the Hungarian water sector, the official presentation of the GWP’ s post-Hague report and the adoption of a CEE declaration by the governmental representatives of the ten countries in the region. They are Bulgaria, Chech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
