Cambodia - National and provincial events
Provincial activities are set for Monday 19th March in Sihanoukville. An exhibition and celebration with participation of 150 primary and high school children are scheduled. The Governor of Sihanoukville will attend along with the Senior Minister and the Secretary of State from the Ministry of Rural Development which is organizing the celebration. NGOs, IOs and UN agencies including WHO are supporting the activities.
A national celebration is scheduled in the capital Phnom Penh on 22 March. A public awareness campaign is already underway. A major exhibition with support from at least six ministries and agencies is planned. NGOs, IOs and UN agencies will support the event. Speakers will include the His Excellency the Prime Minister as well as Senior Ministers and the WHO Representative.
