The #RunningDry movement, championed by water advocate and ultra runner Mina Guli, connects a global community of runners and water heroes with a single passion: to raise awareness of the global water crisis. Mina’s recent ‘100 marathons in 100 days’ challenge served to shine a spotlight on the issue. She travelled around the world, running marathons and meeting water heroes along the way, telling their stories to inspire others to take action.
One of these stories is that of Untapped Shores, an organization dedicated to providing clean water to rural, hard-to-reach villages who currently only have contaminated water sources. In the process, they set up sustainable, financially independent projects run by women water entrepreneurs.
