Project Clean WATER
The Diwa ng Magdalo Foundation Inc. (DMFI) is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation based in the Philippines. As of this time, Metro Manila and some remote provinces in the country has been hit by its worst water shortage in years. This highlights the importance of Water in the lives of Filipinos and why there’s an urgency in improving our source of safe and sustainable water. Project Clean W.A.T.E.R. (Clean Water Access Towards Efficiency and Resiliency)is a DMFI activity to commemorate this year’s World Water Day. This project aims to provide source of safe drinking water that may be used by resident evacuees who need immediate assistance in times of calamities, and school children who need water to quench their active bodies during their academic days. Through the support of generous donors, DMFI will be handing over Lifestraw Community water filtration units to Alejo M Pacalso Memorial National High School (located at Tuding, Itogon, Benguet, Philippines) and Binga National High School (located at Tinongdan, Itogon, Benguet, Philippines) on March 22, 2019.
