Swachh Saryu Clean Up Drive
“There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.” Let’s discover our power and strive to protect our environment and its resources. Our project in Community Driven River Conservation is dedicated to the great Saryu (Ghaghra) River, which is home to the majestic National Aquatic Animal of India- the Gangetic Dolphins. Our conservation strategy harnesses the natural relationship of the local community with the river ecosystem. The Swachh Saryu Clean up event on the 17th of March 2019 aims to protect the Saryu River from the damage by trash that gets dumped into the river from the Ghats. Let’s unite for a Swachh Guptar Ghat, Swachh Saryu, and Swachh Ayodhya. Note: This event is a BYOBottle (Bring your own bottle) event and everyone is requested to bring their own bottles of water- this would help prevent generation of additional trash from plastic cups. We also request you to carry reusable gloves or old plastic bags to cover your hands during clean up. For more information reach us at:info@samvarta.org
