The Mississippi Runs Through Us
On World Water Day, March 22, 2019, the introduction of a coordinated effort between Rotary Clubs along the Mississippi River, USA, The Andrew Young Foundation and MRCTI (Mississippi River Cities and Towns Initiative) will be launched. The intent is to raise a grass roots awareness of the Socioeconomic Impact of the Mississippi River, which has an impact on 40% of our World’s Food Supply. With Rotary Clubs overlapping in 87% of the municipalities that have partnered in the MRCTI initiative, we can begin education and service projects in the local communities that are coordinated efforts rather than isolated projects. This launch is the introduction of Rotary as a partner in this public/private sector initiative. Join us with the social media campaign to keep the dialogue moving forward.
