4elements living arts collective is screening a video that culminated in 4 water walks ancient water trails along the western region of Manitoulin Island, Canada. Manitoulin Island is known to be the largest fresh water island in the world. Students from Sheshegwaning First Nation St. Joseph Anishnaabek School and CCMclean Public school in Gore Bay, gathered and gave thanks to our waters with the help of elders, fire keeper and spiritual guides. The students snowshoed the shores, created artworks and shared their experiences in becoming aware of the need to protect water. On March 22 awe are screening a video titled Walking waters for at the Sheshegwaning Band Complex and sharing our stories about our experiences during the cold winter months walking the frozen shores.
