Water Project Jamaica “Water-Tech Fest”
For World Water Day, the Water Project in Jamaica which focuses on Water Adaptation in Jamaica’s urban housing sector, will mount a technology fest. The event seeks to highlight the range of Water Adaptation Devices available to help householders and developers to have more water efficient homes. The event will include a mix of formalities with key stakeholders making brief remarks and a more relaxed open day vibe with varied suppliers of Water Adaptation Devices showcasing the range of products. Members of the Public will be engaged via Fun challenges such as “How to detect a Leak in your toilet” and other Question and Answer segments. The event aims to drive awareness around the importance of water and the role that each person can play in helping to save water at home with a mix of conservation and water adaptation devices such as shower heads, low flush toilets, rainwater harvesting and Grey Water harvesting. The Water Project in Jamaica is a collaboration between Jamaica National Foundation, Jamaica National Bank, Climate Investment Funds (CIF), Pilot Project for Climate Resilience (PPCR) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)
