World Water Day 2019 Celebration (Melaka, Malaysia)
In conjunction to the World Water Day which is celebrated on March 22 each year, World Water Day Celebration 2019 is planned at Sekolah Kebangsaan Air Baruk (Melaka, Malaysia) on April 12, 2019 involving 15 primary schools around Melaka. This celebration will be officiated by the Deputy Director of the Melaka State Education Department, aimed at providing awareness on water resources and importance on maintaining good water quality. In this programme, we will also launch Rainwater Harvesting System project, a joint environmental education project between Universiti Putra Malaysia, Green Growth Asia Foundation and WWF (Malaysia) in a move to save clean water (water supply) and use rainwater supply for cleaning and gardening purposes in the school area. This celebration is the first time ever involving schools in Melaka. World Water Day celebration is considered crucial in the process of raising awareness on importance of clean water in our daily lives involving primary school children. Besides, awareness on primary school students are also expected to create a society that capable of maintaining clean water resources in the future generation. World Water Day Celebration 2019 activities are:
- Rainwater Harvesting System launching in Sekolah Kebangsaan Air Baruk (Melaka, Malaysia)
- Primary school children video presentation on World Water Day 2019. These videos will be shared in our official World Water Day Celebration 2019 Facebook & Twitter page.
- Eco-code competition among primary school children
