World Water Day 2019 — Water Institute, University of Waterloo

Leaving no one behind: Water for all

Join the Water Institute for a full day of activities as we explore together how to find viable solutions for marginalized people living without safe water.

UN-Water’s World Water Day on March 22, 2019, tackles the water crisis by addressing the reasons why so many are being left behind. On this day, the Water Institute at the University of Waterloo will join thousands from around the world in solidarity as we support and amplify World Water Day events and initiatives. Activities include a presentation on exploring solutions to the Indigenous water crisis in Canada, an exhibitor showcase, student career fair, water student poster exhibition and lightning talks, photo competition, as well as our Water Institute RBC Distinguished Lecture by former Ontario premier Bob Rae: “What the challenge of clean water at home and around the world tells us about ourselves, our country, and our planet.”
