UN University: “Water security in Africa: A preliminary assessment”

The United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH) has released a report summarizing the results of a preliminary assessment of water security in 54 countries in Africa considering ten components, including access to drinking water, sanitation, hygiene and health. The assessment reveals that the state of water-related data on many water issues in Africa remains “very poor”.
