Virtual orchestral concert for World Water Day

To raise awareness of the importance of water, the United Nations Chamber Music Society has premiered a musical piece called Archimedes’s Dreams, written by American composer Evan Fein.

The classical piece is an ode to the ancient scientist Archimedes, whose inventions continue to shape our relationship with water.

Evan Fein, a professor at The Juilliard School in New York City, was named the winner of the American Prize for Composition in 2022 and has received numerous other honours.

The UN Chamber Music Society was founded in 2016 and carries out the United Nations’ mission of peace, understanding, and cooperation through the universal language of music.
